Job description

We are seeking a talented and creative Motion Designer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for visual storytelling, a keen eye for design, and the ability to bring ideas to life through animation and motion graphics. 

This role offers the opportunity to collaborate deeply with Terra’s international team members, while working closely with U.S.-based clients to deliver exceptional results.  As a Motion Designer, you will play a crucial role in creating engaging content that enhances our brand and captivates our audience.

This role will be supporting one of Terra's largest and most strategic client partnerships. Healthcare experience is a plus.

WHO YOU ARE
  • Proficient with motion design tools such as Adobe After Effects, Cinema 4D, and Adobe Premiere Pro.

  • 5+ years of experience as a Motion Designer, or similar role, with a portfolio showcasing your creative work.

  • Strong understanding of motion graphics, animation, and visual storytelling principles, with a keen eye for detail and aesthetics.

  • Knowledge of typography, color theory, and graphic design fundamentals.

  • A true team player who thrives in collaborative environments and can effectively communicate ideas and concepts.

  • Proficient in creating animations optimized for various platforms, including social media, websites, and video.

  • Skilled at time management and capable of juggling multiple projects while meeting tight deadlines.

  • Eager to stay up to date with trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in motion design and animation.

  • Demonstrated ability to problem-solve and overcome creative or technical challenges.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to present ideas in internal and client-facing settings.

  • You are in the Pacific Time Zone and can be available from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm PT.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
  • Collaborate with creative leadership, designers, and project managers to understand project goals and translate concepts into compelling motion graphics and animations.

  • Design and produce engaging motion graphics for a variety of mediums, including social media, websites, sizzle reels, presentations, and video projects.

  • Create storyboards, style frames, and animatics to visualize and validate creative concepts.

  • Work within existing brand guidelines to ensure consistency and cohesion across all visual outputs.

  • Edit video content, integrating motion graphics and animations to elevate visual storytelling.

  • Develop and manage a library of motion design assets, templates, and resources to streamline future projects.

  • Stay current on motion design trends, tools, and techniques, and bring fresh ideas to the team.

  • Manage your schedule and proactively communicate with project managers to ensure deadlines are met while maintaining high-quality standards.

  • Participate in team brainstorms and contribute innovative ideas to elevate creative output.

  • Work as a dedicated team member supporting one of Terra's largest and most strategic client partnerships.
