Job description

SUMMARY
After an OJT period of 6 - 12 months, the successful candidate will be responsible for the overall operation and general maintenance of the facility.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Daily inventory of bulk storage tanks
  • Carry out general preventative maintenance procedures on a Daily, Weekly, Monthly, quarterly etc. schedule
  • Certifying newly trained truck drivers at various product loading / unloading stations
  • Pipeline, pump and valve alignment for product transfers to and from barges, to and from trucks and from storage tank to storage tank
  • Meet Coast Guard requirements to act as Marine Transfer Dock Person In Charge
  • Act as Alternate Facility Security Officer
  • Terminal housekeeping and general grounds maintenance
  • An operator will operate with safety in mind utilizing proper PPE for any task undertaken. Stay vigilant regarding the safety of fellow employees and the protection of the environment in all operations.

QUALIFICATIONS
Must be able to obtain a TWIC Card and a Tampa Port Pass. Must pass a physical examination and drug test. Must be eligible for and obtain an MMD with PIC-DLC endorsement. Must be willing to work nights / weekends when needed.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
High School Diploma or GED required or completion of relevant technical school training with certification.
