The VDC Terminal Manager is responsible for overseeing terminal operations, ensuring operational efficiency, maintaining customer satisfaction, supporting financial performance, and fostering a safe and compliant work environment.
Summary
The VDC Terminal Manager provides leadership and operational oversight for terminal activities, ensuring that customer expectations, safety standards, and business objectives are consistently achieved. This role is responsible for managing daily operations, monitoring financial performance, maintaining quality management systems, and leading employees to achieve operational goals. The position collaborates closely with customers, vendors, and internal stakeholders to support efficient service delivery and continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Terminal Operations & Service Delivery
  • Direct daily terminal operations to ensure safe, efficient, and productive performance.
  • Enforce company policies, procedures, and operational standards.
  • Monitor operational activities and conduct routine terminal inspections to ensure compliance and efficiency.
  • Maintain a safe working environment by supporting and enforcing established safety programs.
  • Ensure operational resources are effectively allocated to meet customer requirements and business objectives.
Financial Management & Budget Administration
  • Assist in the development and management of annual operating budgets.
  • Monitor departmental expenses and controllable labor costs to support financial performance goals.
  • Review weekly and monthly financial reports and identify opportunities for cost improvement.
  • Review open accounts receivable balances and support collection and resolution efforts.
  • Approve operational purchases in accordance with company policies and budget requirements.
Quality, Compliance & Continuous Improvement
  • Maintain and support the Quality Management System (QMS) to ensure compliance with company and customer requirements.
