Job description

Job Objective:
The Marine Logistics Scheduler is responsible for planning, coordinating, and optimizing marine vessel movement operations at marine terminals. This role ensures safe, efficient, and compliant scheduling of crude oil and NGL's while balancing customer requirements, operational constraints, regulatory compliance, and commercial commitments.
The Scheduler acts as the primary liaison between marine operations, commercial teams, customers, pipeline control, terminal operations, and vessel agents to ensure seamless execution of marine loadings.
Essential Job Responsibilities:
โ€ข Develop and maintain short-term and long-term marine loading schedules.
โ€ข Coordinate vessel nominations, berth assignments, and cargo allocation.
โ€ข Optimize dock utilization and minimize vessel turnaround time.
โ€ข Monitor pipeline and tank inventory availability to support loading plans.
โ€ข Identify scheduling conflicts and proactively resolve constraints.
โ€ข Adjust schedules in real time due to weather, operational issues, or commercial changes.
โ€ข Communicate daily marine schedules to operations, control room, and leadership.
โ€ข Coordinate closely with:
  • Terminal operators
  • Pipeline control/SCADA
  • Commercial marketing teams
  • Vessel agents and ship captains
  • Inspection companies

โ€ข Ensure cargo documentation and loading instructions are accurate and distributed timely.
โ€ข Support shift turnover with clear status reporting.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum of three (3) years directly related experience in one of the following: Marine operations, Terminal operations or Pipeline scheduling.
  • Ability to accurately solve problems and exceptional proficiency in data management.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, supervisors, other departments, officials, and the public.
  • Ability to provide high-level remote oversight of terminal operations from a corporate office environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to perform tasks and achieve results with a high degree of accuracy and precision.
  • Ability to adapt to a dynamic, high pressure work environment which requires the ability to balance multiple tasks under tight deadlines
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills required
  • On-call availability for evenings, weekends and holidays
  • Regular and reliable attendance
  • Proficiency in the use and application of:
    • Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and Outlook).

Education Requirements:
  • Required: Graduation from high school and meet minimum experience requirement.
