OVERVIEW
Provide oversight in management of the terminal operations including the facilities for assigned terminal location(s) to ensure safe, efficient, and dependable service to our customers, while creating a positive culture with highly engaged employees.
RESPONSIBILITIES (other duties may be assigned)
1. Maintain and foster a positive culture for assigned location(s) while ensuring the safe, efficient, and dependable delivery of product to our customers
2. Manage and maintain a high-quality team of drivers to always meet business needs for terminal location(s)
3. Lead monthly driver meetings to the timely and effective delivery of Sheetz and CLI corporate communications to employees
4. Maximize the development of all direct reports through presenting regular performance coaching and reviews by monitoring day-to-day operations and ensuring drivers are meeting minimum performance standards that support department and business goals
5. Responsible for compliance with all company policies and procedures as well as Federal, State, and Local regulations
6. Manage the long-term planning, budgeting, and maintenance support for equipment at all assigned terminal location(s)
7. Participate in the Preparation, creation, and management of the annual budget, multi-year budget planning, and review on the P&L for assigned area(s) of responsibility to maximize profitability
8. Deepen and develop relationships with direct reports, Sheetz and CLI departments, stores, and employees, Leasing Partners, Maintenance Vendors, Loading Facilities, and Local Police and Fire departments to establish positive and beneficial business relationships
9. Participate and/or lead projects for strategic business plans and other identified business needs
QUALIFICATIONS
(Equivalent combinations of education, licenses, certifications and/or experience may be considered)
Education
• Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Logistics, or a related field of study required.
Experience
• Minimum 5 years' experience in transportation, logistics, or a related operational environment (i.e., trucking company, distribution, dispatch, warehouse, or fleet operations) required
• Minimum 5 years' supervisory experience in the transportation industry with responsibility for managers, supervisors, and large driver groups required
• Previous experience in trucking/motor carrier operations including daily load execution, service reliability, regulatory compliance, safety culture, and/or fleet management and asset oversight required.
Licenses/Certifications
• HM-126F Required
• Valid Driver's License Required
