Job description

OVERVIEW
Directly interact with the drivers while assisting with all day-to-day operations and facility(s) of assigned terminal and satellite location(s) to ensure safe, efficient, and dependable service to our customer while ensuring a positive culture with highly engaged employees and to perform these duties in the absence of the CLI Terminal Manager or CLI Operations Manager.
RESPONSIBILITIES (other duties may be assigned)
1. Assist with driver compliance with all CLI programs, policies, and procedures as well as all Federal, State and local regulations.
2. Complete tasks, provide input, and ensure execution of driver training plans (IE: Safety risk development plans, performance improvement plans).
3. Responsible for maintaining and executing equipment cleanliness process, equipment readiness, preventative maintenance scheduling, and compliance with all Federal, State and local transportation regulations as well as CLI policies.
4. Assist with the preparation of driver schedules.
5. Ensure Terminal and company communication via daily ongoing open communication, feedback, and follow up communications and by assisting with monthly driver meetings.
6. Responsible for Onboard Computer repair, software upgrades, and regulatory compliance (IE. out of service units).
7. Assist the terminal leadership by completing tasks and providing input involved with driver recruiting and hiring in order to timely staff open positions with high quality team members.
8. Manage the terminal supply inventory.
9. Connect and build relationships with Drivers, CLI employees, Maintenance Vendors, Loading Facilities, and other Sheetz departments to establish positive and beneficial business relationships.
10. Assist with the management to annual Terminal budget and P&L analysis.
11. Perform other duties and projects as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
(Equivalent combinations of education, licenses, certifications and/or experience may be considered)
Education
• Bachelor's Degree in business management, logistics, or related field required.
Experience
• Minimum 2 years' experience in transportation, logistics, or a related operational environment (i.e., trucking company, distribution, dispatch, warehouse, or fleet operations) required
• Previous experience with utilization of DOT or regulatory compliance required
• Previous supervisory experience preferred
Licenses/Certifications
• HM-126F required
• Valid Driver License required
