Job Summary:
Global Partners LP is a Fortune 500 company with over 90 years of experience in providing essential services to communities. They are seeking a Terminal Technology Specialist responsible for managing and supporting Terminal Automation Systems and ensuring efficient operations across terminals.
Responsibilities:
• Monitor or perform various activities and correction including setup, maintenance, balancing, transaction transmission, and support for Global's Terminal Automation Applications.
• Assist in monitoring, perform and document processes and system internal audits.
• Work with and communicate to IT peers, IT management, Operations staff, and Operations management as needed.
• Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending professional workshops, reviewing professional publications and establishing personal networks. Provide technical knowledge to co-workers for problem solving.
• Understand and disseminate training plans for terminal automation systems throughout the company.
• Understand and be able to use test backup procedures, including disaster recovery plan.
• Assist in modifications to existing Terminal Automation Systems and implement across all terminals.
• Integrate new terminal data into existing system(s). Work with Operational Support Team for large integrations or changes.
• Act as resource for various projects related to terminal automation and billing systems.
• Provide appropriate support to field users by resolving terminal system issues or redirecting to appropriate team member, resource, or vendor.
• Act as liaison between Global and support vendors.
• Provide on-call support as needed.
• Support other areas/special projects as needed.
Qualifications:
Required:
• 3+ years of related experience required, including terminal, engineering or other fuel related applications.
• 3+ years of experience with Windows administration experience.
• Ability to travel up to 25% domestically.
Preferred:
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or other related discipline preferred.
• Experience in the following is preferred: Terminal Automation Systems (DTN Guardian 3, Toptech TMS 5 and 6), database management systems (Oracle 12 and 19, MySQL, Microsoft SQL, Linux), client server technologies and browser-based applications.
