NorthEast Electrical is seeking motivated and enthusiastic Control Panel Technician candidates to join our Engineered Solutions Group team and perform Control Panel fabrication / build / assembly & manufacturing work.
Shift: Monday-Thursday 5AM to 3:30PM
Salary: $25.00 to $30.00 per hour commensurate with experience
Work Location: This position will report daily to our Taunton, MA location

What a day in this role looks like:
  • Read and understand mechanical drawings & electrical control wiring schematics
  • Per provided mechanical layout drawings, mechanically machine / drill & tap control panels, modify enclosures and mechanical mount electrical devices with high level of efficiency & quality
  • Per provided electrical schematic drawings, efficiently wire control panels with high level of efficiency & quality
  • Must work in accordance with NE Electrical applicable employment policies, health, safety, and environmental regulations along with complying with UL standards & ISO9001:2015 policies & procedures.
  • Must be prepared to perform any additional assigned tasks such as mechanical assembly, warehouse duties, clean up, etc.

What we are looking for you to bring to us:
  • Minimum of a High School Diploma or GED
  • Electrical Trade School, Electrician, Mechanical Assembly or Electrical Industry Experience preferred
  • Ability to organize and multitask
  • Ability to work alone or with a team of builders
  • Ability to completely comprehend mechanical and electrical drawings along with being able to read & identify color on wires, etc.
  • Ability to read & understand tape measures (metric and standard) and other types of measuring devices
  • Ability to build entire Control Panel Builds with minimum assistance or guidance
  • Ability to fabricate entire Control Panel build including machining back panel, enclosure and wiring of control panel and enclosure doors, etc.
  • Proficient at safely using fabrication tools such as powered drills, powered saws, crimpers, cutting tools, etc.
  • Ability to identify hardware components such as PLC's, VFD's, Circuit Breakers, etc. and understanding their roles in the control panel build.
  • Ability to read & identify wire size gauges & colors along with ampacity ratings, etc.
  • Ability to apply high level of quality craftmanship along with always looking for ways to improve.
