Position Summary

ARG PETRO, a well-established wholesale fuel and lubricant company with over 82 years in the industry, is seeking a dedicated and experienced Terminal Manager. This position is responsible for the full oversight of day-to-day terminal operations involving liquid petroleum products, chemicals, equipment, deliveries, staff, and operational documentation. The Terminal Manager contributes to the organization by ensuring operational efficiency, regulatory compliance, workplace safety, inventory accuracy, and exceptional customer service while leading a quality-oriented culture across terminal operations.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Provide oversight for day-to-day terminal operations, including receiving, storing, and transporting petroleum and chemical products.
• Direct and manage all terminal operational activities to ensure safe, efficient, and cost-effective product distribution.
• Organize, plan, control, and direct operations and maintenance activities in compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements.
• Monitor operational expenses and maintain budget oversight in coordination with company leadership.
• Schedule employees to ensure adequate terminal coverage and operational continuity.
• Monitor employee hours and manage overtime to maximize efficiency, service levels, and profitability.
• Maintain terminal facilities to ensure a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Generate and maintain accurate documentation related to loading, transportation, inventory, billing, and customer transactions.
• Develop and implement operational procedures that promote safety, quality, efficiency, and regulatory compliance.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local regulations, including DOT and OSHA requirements.
• Lead and participate in safety meetings, training programs, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Direct and supervise the work of contractors, operators, and terminal employees.
• Manage emergency response activities and support incident prevention initiatives.
• Maintain accurate inventory controls and operational reporting.
• Be available on-call as needed to support emergency response and operational requirements.
• Perform other duties as assigned.


QualificationsEducation:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Additional technical training, certifications, or comparable industry experience preferred.

Experience:

• Minimum 2–5 years of leadership or supervisory experience in the oil and gas, transportation, logistics, or related industry.
• Experience managing terminal, bulk fuel, chemical handling, or distribution operations preferred.

Skills & Abilities:

• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to analyze operational issues and implement effective solutions.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and Word.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
• Strong leadership, customer service, and team-building abilities.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to establish priorities and adapt quickly in a fast-paced logistics environment.
• Ability to work extended hours, nights, weekends, and respond to emergency situations as needed.


Work Environment

• Primarily field and terminal-based environment with regular exposure to industrial equipment, petroleum products, and varying weather conditions.
• Requires adherence to all safety policies, procedures, and personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements.
• Travel required approximately 25%–50%.
• Position may require extended hours, nights, weekends, and on-call availability.
