Job Summary:
Sonsoft Inc. is a USA based corporation specializing in Software Development and Information Technology Enabled Services. They are seeking a Senior Teradata and UNIX specialist who will be responsible for requirement analysis, database design, and optimization activities, while coordinating with stakeholders and managing timelines.
Responsibilities:
• Strong Requirement Elicitation & Analysis skills
• Should have the capability to understand requirements and convert to design and provide
• pass the same seamlessly to the team who is working on the same.
• Ability to coordinate with SMEs, stakeholders, manage timelines, escalation & provide on
• time status.
• Good knowledge in DWH concepts and Logical/physical database design
• Extensive knowledge of Teradata database, data warehousing and information
• management best practices.
• Excellent understanding of Teradata architecture. Knowledge of Teradata CLDM will be an
• added advantage
• Hands on experience in performing optimization/tuning activities in Teradata
• Hands on experience in Stored Procedures, Bteq, Teradata utilities for load and export data
• Should come up with the work estimation and should provide inputs to managers on
• resource and risk planning.
• Strong knowledge and hands-on experience on Unix shell scripting
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, written communication, oral communication and
• listening skills
• Should have played client facing roles
• Must have worked in on-site/offshore model

• Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education
• At least 7 years of experience within the Information Technologies
• U.S. Citizens and those who are authorized to work independently in the United States are encouraged to apply. We are unable to sponsor at this time
• Only US Citizen, Green Card Holder, GC-EAD,H4-EAD, & L2-EAD can apply
Preferred:
• Knowledge of Teradata CLDM will be an added advantage
