Tennis Court Maintenance - Part-Time


20-25 HOURS A WEEK

Starting at $15 an hour


Overview: Tennis Maintenance is responsible for providing regular maintenance, cleaning and setting up tennis and pickleball courts and adjacent areas around the racquets facility. This position would report directly to the Athletics Director. Maintain grounds, keep fencing and wind screens in operating condition. Maintain ball machines and all other machinery used to groom and repair courts


Duties/Responsibilities:

Communicate court conditions to pro staff in the morning

Groom and line clay courts in the morning

Inspect and repair court lines

Fill water coolers with fresh water and ice each morning

Restock towels and cups each morning and afternoon

Empty all trash and towel receptacles in and around tennis facility in the morning and afternoon.

Maintain nets at correct height

Check windscreens and fences for loose screens

Address weeds and algae that grow on the tennis courts

Wipe down benches and awnings on the court

Clean out shoe trays.

Other duties assigned.


Required Skills/Abilities:

Basic Tennis knowledge

Ability to always have professional manners

Basic tool skills

Ability to self-motivate


Physical Requirements:

Must be able to lift-up to 50lbs and perform physical maintenance of the courts

Operate golf cart and other equipment

Work primarily outside. Will be exposed to sun, rain, heat and cold

Requires crouching, kneeling, climbing, standing and walking


Qualifications:

High School Diploma or GED preferred

Good customer service skills and good communication skills are required

Must be able to maintain a friendly and professional demeanor

Must be punctual


Language:

Required to speak, read, write English

None
