Agronomy Tender Driver needed at Frontier Cooperative's Mead, NE Location.
EXPERIENCE the DIFFERENCE: Join the Frontier Family today!!!
Just a short 20 minute drive from Omaha, our Mead location is seeking a CDL A or B Driver to assist with local, home daily driving for our Agronomy Department. Hazmat & Tanker endorsements are needed for this position, however, we will assist the right candidate with obtaining those credentials, if not already secured. This is a local, home daily, full-time position with benefits.
What's a TENDER DRIVER? Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
A Tender Driver's primary focus is assisting Applicators by delivering chemicals, fertilizers, &/or various other products to our Custom Applicators while they operate Farm Equipment, Sprayers & other machinery in our Producer's fields. Additionally, Tender truck drivers assist our operations & maintenance departments with various duties, loading/unloading, customer service, and assisting with trains when needed.
Other Duties & Requirements to Note:
  • Tender drivers must be adept & skilled at safely operating & maneuvering commercial vehicles with trailers, tanks, &/or totes on gravel & dirt country roads in Nebraska. Tender drivers deliver to a variety of places including producer's fields, farms, businesses, ranches, & various other FC locations.
  • Tender Drivers require a CLASS A or B commercial license with Hazmat & Tanker Endorsements (or ability to obtain these endorsements within a reasonable amount of time.
  • This position is offered as FULL-TIME position with benefits.
  • Tender Drivers also assist the Operations departments with various warehouse, elevator, scale, chem & seed shed duties, including general housekeeping, equipment & building maintenance duties.
  • In order to offer exceptional products & services to our Producers and Customers, Frontier Cooperative operates on an 'all-hands-on-deck' philosophy therefore expecting all employees & drivers to be willing to help other locations & departments, when needed.
  • Safety First is strictly enforced. PPE equipment is provided & required when working in designated areas & with hazardous materials or conditions.
  • A TENDER Drive's Wages are Dependent Upon Experience (DOE), Overtime is available over 40 hours, & training is provided.
