This location, operated by Convenience Stores Inc- a subsidiary of Jones Petroleum, is looking for a highly skilled, self-motivated individuals looking to assist in our growing Retail Operation.
Meat Clerks are responsible for making sure the Meat section of the store is well stocked and orderly in appearance; with a focus on food safety and food presentation. Clerks are called upon for meat prep, meat cutting, wrapping, stocking, and rotation of stock; as well as any and all duties as assigned by a member of management.
Education:
  • High School or equivalent

Experience & Skills:
  • Previous Grocery / Meat Market experience is preferred. Ability to understand and implement written and verbal instruction. In addition, you must have good communication skills, and good personal grooming habits.

Note: This company participates in the E-verify program. This position is subject to a 90 day introductory period. This introductory period is designed, primarily, to give both the Company and the employee an opportunity to determine whether the employee will be able to adequately perform in the assigned job position. At the end of the introductory period, your performance will be reviewed and a decision made regarding your continued employment or any extended introductory period. All employees are hired as temporary employees until their introductory period has elapsed. Temporary employees are not eligible for any benefits during the introductory period.
Requirements
Availability:
  • Evenings, weekends and the ability to work varied hours and days based on the needs of the business. All positions require open availability and no special accommodations can be made or guaranteed.
  • Crew Schedules are determined by business needs therefore all schedules must be flexible. This position is variable, which means changing schedules are a requirement of this job.

Physical Requirements:
  • Physical requirements include standing up to 8 hours during a shift and able to lift up to 60 pounds, bend, stoop, and climbing a ladder is required on occasion.
  • Requires you to use motion that entails pushing, pulling, stretching and continuous bilateral use of fingers and wrists.
