WHAT WE'RE DOING
Join the EADGE-T team and help modernize an integrated air and missile defense and air battle management capability for the United Arab Emirates. As part of the UAE Tech Refresh, you'll support hardware modernization and foundational cybersecurity enhancements while helping deliver the next generation of this mission-critical system.
Working alongside an international customer, you'll help develop and deploy advanced software capabilities supporting one of Lockheed Martin's premier international defense programs.
THE WORK
As a Senior Software Engineer, you'll design, develop, integrate, and test software solutions supporting mission-critical air and missile defense capabilities.
Working in an Agile development environment, you'll collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to deliver new features, modernize legacy applications, implement automated testing, and enhance the software development pipeline while helping shape the program's evolving software architecture.
PLEASE NOTE
This position requires a government security clearance at the Secret level; you must be a U.S. Citizen for consideration.
This position is a full-time expatriate assignment based in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and is 100% onsite.
This position may require travel to customer locations throughout the UAE and occasional support for overnight or weekend integration and test activities.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Design, develop, integrate, and test software features supporting mission-critical air and missile defense capabilities.
Break down program roadmap features into actionable development tasks and deliver software solutions in an Agile environment.
Modernize and maintain software applications by integrating Commercial Off-the-Shelf (COTS) and Free and Open-Source Software (FOSS) updates while migrating legacy capabilities into Lockheed Martin's Software Factory continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines.
Develop unit tests and automated test capabilities to improve software quality, reliability, and deployment efficiency.
Participate in software integration activities, including baseline merges, defect resolution, peer reviews, and troubleshooting throughout the development lifecycle.
Collaborate with systems, software, cybersecurity, and integration teams to define technical solutions, resolve complex engineering challenges, and support evolving software architecture.
Contribute to technical discussions, share best practices, and help drive continuous improvement across the Agile development team.

Standard Job Descriptions: Plans, conducts, and coordinates software development activities. Designs, develops, documents, tests, and debugs software that contains logical and mathematical solutions to business/mission problems or questions in computer language for solutions by means of data processing equipment.
Basic Qualifications
- 3+ years of relevant work experience (Advanced Degree may be substituted for 2 years of experience)
Experience/Familiarity with the following: Java and or Python
- Frontend framework development experience using Angular, javascript, CSS, and HTML
- Experience/Familiarity with the following: Docker, REST APIs, or SOAP
- Experience across the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
- Ability to obtain a US DoD Secret Clearance
Desired Skills
- Experience in Agile Methodologies & Tools-
Experience in UI/UX Test Frameworks (Cypress, Selenium, Playwright, Jest)
- Experience in a Full-Stack engineering role
Experience/Exposure to any of the following: Gitlab CI/CD, Helm, Kubernetes, gRPC, Python, Flask
- Exposure to other UI/UX Design Tools (MockFlow, UXPin, Axure)
- RHEL / Windows experience
- Experience with Services, Microservices, Software Factories, Cloud native and Service Oriented Architectures

Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $110300.00 - $204900.00

PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
