Essential Job DutiesSeeking an experienced street maintenance worker to temporarily assist in maintenance of City streets and right-of-ways while performing duties ranging from laboring activities requiring extended physical exertion to semi-skilled and skilled tasks requiring manipulative skills.
Qualification Requirements- High School Diploma or GED and current WA CDL Class B Driver License (tanker endorsement/air brake restriction removed).
- Experience performing street maintenance techniques including operating and using related equipment and materials.
- Current WA CDL Class A Driver License (tanker endorsement/air brake restrictions removed) preferred.
Working ConditionsMust be flexible in hours and open to the possibility of working weekend, swing and/or night shift assignments.
The City of Wenatchee has adopted a policy measuring the 'full-time' status of temporary employees over 12-months for purposes of benefit eligibility. Temporary employees with assignments less than 6-months are not eligible for benefits with exception of participation in the WA State Department of Retirement System (DRS) as long as DRS eligibility requirements are met (compensated for at least 70 hours per month for five months in a 12-month period). There will be no retroactivity applied to benefits or any other employment terms and conditions should regular employment be offered at a future date.
