Job description

MERCHANDISER - Greater Spokane/Northern Idaho

This position is responsible for carrying out each project assigned in a professional manner to enhance the customers store through merchandising, stocking, putting away freight, pricing, shelf facing, stock rotating.

This position will travel roughly within 1 hr of greater Spokane and Northern Idaho.

Daytime hours.  Monday - Friday, no weekends. 30 hours per week.

Compensation: $21-22 /hr 30 hrs per week.

Travel/equipment/gas/expenses paid. Position provides base car maintenance amount  $350/mo + full mileage reimb.

Must have a reliable vehicle, current auto insurance and a valid driver’s license from the state of residence

Physical Requirements: Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs on a daily basis as needed.
Working Conditions: Work involves driving to customer locations and working inside a busy retail store.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Provide merchandising, stocking, pricing, shelf facing, stock rotating, and cleaning of product and shelves as needed.
  • Rearranges store shelves or display areas as close to company approved planograms as possible, to improve sales.
  • Put away Customer orders when necessary. On average this will occur 70% of the time and store resets 30% of the time. May also require out of the area overnight stays 2 to 3 times per month working with the Store Solution Reps.
  • Monitors potential account problems at the store level and reports issues to the Territory Sales Manager/RSM.
  • Provide pricing, shelf facing, stock rotating, and rack implementation for all perishable and date-sensitive SKU’s/categories.
  • Maintain a safe work environment in the stores.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
  • Follow carefully the standards and organization in all sets of product as outlined by company standards.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Ability to read and write English.
  • Must possess basic math skills.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Valid driver’s license from the state of residence.
  • Ability to drive approximately 1,500 miles per month on average.

Education and Experience:

  • Customer service experience required.
  • High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
  • Experience in Merchandising or Field Sales Support

All final candidates will be required to successfully pass a pre-employment background, drug and MVR screening.
