Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse ( RN )
in Fort Wayne, Indiana

Are you an experienced ICU RN looking for something a little different? We currently have Day and Night shift, 13-week contracts available with a great local hospital!

Our ICU RNs enjoy:

As an ICU RN, you will:

  • Deliver critical care nursing services to medically complex and critically ill patients in a high-acuity ICU setting during a 13-week contract assignment.
  • Continuously assess patient condition, monitor cardiac rhythms and vital signs, and promptly respond to changes in patient status or emergencies.
  • Administer IV medications, vasopressors, sedation, blood products, and other advanced therapies in accordance with physician orders and ICU protocols.
  • Operate and monitor specialized equipment, including ventilators, cardiac monitors, infusion pumps, and life-support systems.
  • Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, pharmacists, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  • Maintain accurate electronic documentation, ensure compliance with infection control and safety standards, and provide compassionate support to patients and families during critical situations.
  • Arrive on time for scheduled shifts
  • Participate in continuing education and maintain documentation to remain in compliance.

A few must-haves for ICU RNs:

  • Active RN or Compact license within the state of Indiana
  • Active Certifications Required: BLS & ACLS through the American Heart Association
  • 1.5 - 2 years of recent and related ICU experience, as required by the facility
  • Must be able to work independently, yet together as part of a team
  • Must be able to remain calm under pressure
  • Active BLS, physical, TB test, and other medical compliance as required by the facility
