The Club at Kalea Bay offers five-star resort features, including pools, tennis courts, and two restaurants: Salt & Oak and the Driftwood Café. We are looking for a seasonal Bartender who would thrive in a hospitality environment and be highly focused on delivering exceptional beverage service and memorable guest experiences while maintaining a welcoming, energetic, and professional atmosphere for members and guests.
The Bartender job opportunity is a temporary, full-time position. The start date is October 1, 2026, with May 31, 2027, as the end date.
Job Duties:
  • Serve members and guests by taking beverage orders and preparing drinks according to standardized recipes.
  • Communicate with members and guests in a professional manner to provide effective food and beverage service.
  • Work with the Club's personnel to maintain an effective atmosphere and an efficient food and beverage service.
  • Stock bar with beer, wine, liquor, and related supplies such as ice, glassware, napkins, or straws
  • Mix liquor, soda, water, sugar, and bitters to prepare cocktails and other drinks.
  • Take beverage orders from serving staff or directly from patrons.
  • Prepare basic accompaniments such as pickles, cheese, and cold meats as required
  • Enter food and beverage orders accurately into the point of sale system prior to preparation
  • Arrange bottles and glasses to maintain an attractive display in agreement with the Club's standards.
  • Clean glasses, utensils, and bar equipment.
  • Serve alcohol responsibly in compliance with Florida and local alcohol service laws

  • Maintain bar tabs for guests during service and typically place in front of guest.
  • Learn members' and guests' names, occupations, and favorite drinks to make the Club a special place for them.
  • Perform opening and closing duties as assigned
  • Anticipate your guest's needs. Follow the one-third rule when offering another drink.
  • Be alert of guest signals (raising a hand, making eye contact, etc.) and acknowledge the guest to let them know the bartender will be right with them.
  • Learn guests' names, occupations and favorite drinks to make the Club a special place for them.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned that are consistent with the occupation of Bartender.

  • This position operates in a private club setting.
  • The employee is exposed to weather conditions while serving guests outdoors.
  • Work areas may be crowded and noisy.
  • The employee may make frequent trips to the kitchen, where air may be moist, warm, and odorous from cooking foods.
  • The floor may be slippery from moisture and grease.
  • The employee may be exposed to hazards, including but not limited to cuts, slips, trips, falls, and burns.
  • Frequent handwashing is required. Must be able to work in a non-air-conditioned outdoor environment.
  • This job operates behind the bar and may be working in close proximity to co-workers.
  • The noise level in the work environment can be loud.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear.
  • This position is very active and requires standing and moving for an extended period.
  • Constantly moving between in and outdoor environments.
  • This position requires walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, and crouching.
  • The work may need occasional carrying/lifting to 50 pounds, and pushing and pulling up to 75 pounds unassisted, frequently reaching overhead.
  • Arm strength and coordination must be sufficient to carry plates of food, glasses, and bottles and serve from large trays.
  • Good close and distance vision and the ability to adjust focus between the two.
  • This position regularly requires long hours and frequent weekend and holiday work.
