Job description

Title: Yard Spotter Truck Driver/Operator
Experience moving and backing up 48 and 53 foot trailers
CDL is NOT required-will NOT be driving off site
Type: Full Time; ***Temp to Permanent role!***
Location: Northeast Milwaukee-Onsite
Hourly Rate will be $27.05 + $5.36 Health & Wellness = $32.41
Will safely operate trucks on the site between the warehouse yard and dock locations as needed based on established schedules. They will need to be able to back a trailer up and move it around the lot from the parking spot to the loading dock and back to the parking spot.
  • Must have experience driving a Yard Spotter Truck to position trailers in the trailer yard and safely move trailers to/from dock doors for loading and unloading.
  • Load and unload trailers with or without helpers, perform pre-operation safety checks on the vehicle or MHE and ensures the vehicle and equipment is in good working order prior to usage.
  • May be required to use the customer's warehouse management system (WMS) to generate/close out manifests.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  1. Understand and meet established productivity and quality control goals associated with assigned functional work area / process.
  2. Follow established guidelines in performing day-to-day routine tasks as outlined in Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  3. Adhere to USPS and Company policies and procedures.
  4. Responsive communication to Company Project Manager and Operations Manager regarding any operational issues that arise.
  5. Ability to communicate in a professional manner with co-workers and site management.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
High School Diploma (or equivalent).
SUMMARY OF JOB REQUIREMENTS
  1. Must be U.S. Citizen
  2. Possess a valid Driver's License/CDL
  3. Warehouse and WMS experience preferred.
  4. 2-3 years' experience of over-the-road tractor trailer driving
  5. Ability to operate Material Handling Equipment (Forklifts and other).
  6. Ability to operate power tools and other industrial equipment.
