This role requires creativity, compassion, and strong organizational skills to develop programs that foster self-expression, build life skills, and empower participants to explore their artistic talents. This position requires experience with fine arts, as demonstrated by portfolio and/or education, preferably with combinations of the following experiences:Working with people with intellectual disabilities and/or physical disabilitiesWorking with adaptive artsTeaching artWorking with various art mediaExperience/exposure with performing arts and/or speech artsExperience with visual arts (photography, videography, editing)The RoleDesign and implement visual and performing arts curriculum to accommodate various skill levels, ensuring accessibility and participant engagementDocument attendance, incident reports, and program data while ensuring compliance with safety standards and crisis protocolsMaintain a clean and organized classroom environment, preparing materials and supplies, and communicating needs to the supervisorAttend training sessions and team meetings to stay current on best practices and contribute to program improvementsQualificationsAdvanced art skills, as demonstrated by portfolio, education, and resumeExperience with work on canvas and/or with ceramics preferredHigh School Diploma or GED required, with extensive experience in arts programming; Bachelor's Degree in Arts Education, Performing Arts, Visual Arts, or a related field preferredMinimum of one year of experience working with individuals with developmental disabilitiesMust complete and achieve certification in the Lambs Farm DSP program within 120 days of hireProficiency in writing, speaking, and understanding EnglishValid driver's license with a good driving record.Proficiency in basic computer skills, including accurate typing, navigating websites, entering and recalling data, using word processors and spreadsheet software, managing emails, and familiarity with digital communication etiquette and techniquesPhysically capable of performing tasks that require bending, lifting, and walking, with the ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds to manage mobility aids and assist participantsAbility to work independently and collaboratively, bringing enthusiasm, adaptability, and a commitment to creating a supportive environmentCompensationThe hourly rate for this role is $20.00 per hourDisclaimer: As part of the pre-employment process, all employees at Lambs Farm are required to successfully complete background and registry checks and medical screenings.
