Job description

Greenville University is seeking adjunct instructors capable of developing and/or teaching Computer Information Systems (CIST) courses online.
Requirements
  1. Educational Background - A master's degree in Computer Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field is required. A doctoral degree is preferred.
  2. Teaching & Practical Experience - Must have teaching skills and industry experience in CIS-related subjects, with the ability to effectively instruct adult learners.
  3. Online Instruction Expertise - Proficiency in online learning management systems (LMS) and instructional technologies, with experience in delivering both asynchronous and synchronous courses.
  4. Organizational & Instructional Skills - Must be well-organized and able to present material using a variety of teaching methods suited for the online learning environment.
  5. Commitment to Best Practices in Online Learning - Open to training and willing to apply best practices for online instruction in a Christian faith-based institution.
  6. Faith Integration & Mission Alignment - Must understand, internalize, and support the mission of Greenville University and the value of Christian higher education.
  7. Christian Worldview in CIS Education - Ability to integrate Christian faith and ethical considerations into CIS topics while engaging students in meaningful discussions.
  8. Communication & People Skills - Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, along with strong interpersonal skills for engaging and supporting adult learners.
  9. Flexibility & Adaptability - Ability to work with a diverse population of adult learners, provide personalized feedback, and adapt to evolving instructional technologies and methods.
  10. Professional & Technical Competency - Skilled in programming, databases, networking, AI, cybersecurity, or other CIS disciplines, with a commitment to staying current in the field.

Regular Undergraduate Adjunct rate with class enrollment of 10 or more per credit hour is $1000. This rate is subject to change based on enrollment numbers for the course.
