Description
This position supports video production for the City's Cable Television Division within the Communications and Marketing Office. Responsibilities include assisting with the creation of programming for the City's Government Access Channel and social media platforms.
The role involves setting up, operating, and breaking down video production equipment for live meeting coverage, community events, and recorded content. Work is performed under the general supervision of the Executive Producer.
Examples Of Duties
Operates cameras in remote-controlled, studio, and ENG configurations.
Runs and organizes video and audio cables.
Places microphones and sets appropriate audio levels.
Creates, updates, and recalls graphics using a character generator.
Utilizes a video switcher during live broadcasts.
Follows cues from the Director during live telecasts.
Captures and edits footage for a variety of edited productions.

Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent, supplemented with college-level coursework in video production.
One to two years of experience in video production.
Necessary Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Thorough knowledge of video production equipment.
Ability to edit using Adobe Premiere.
Ability to direct live and pre-recorded productions.
Ability to lead and direct a technical production crew.
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Comprehensive understanding of all aspects of video production.
Basic knowledge of broadcast system design and signal routing.
Supplemental Information
Approximately 10-20 hours per week.
May be required to work nights and weekends as needed based on department and operational needs.
