Maintenance Technician | Industrial Equipment, PLC Troubleshooting & Preventive Maintenance

(Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair production equipment, packaging machinery, and plant utility systems to maximize equipment reliability and minimize downtime.)

⏰ Shift:

  • 1st Shift: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM

Role Summary

Randstad USA is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician for a direct hire opportunity in Roselle, IL. This position is responsible for maintaining and repairing high-speed production equipment, packaging machinery, and facility utility systems. Responsibilities

  • Perform planned, preventive, and emergency maintenance on production and packaging equipment
  • Troubleshoot and repair PLC-controlled equipment and AC/DC drive systems
  • Diagnose electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and utility system issues
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics, technical manuals, work orders, and equipment documentation
  • Complete preventive maintenance inspections and document all work in the CMMS system
  • Support manufacturing systems including lubrication, resin delivery, and utility/process equipment
  • Respond to equipment breakdowns to minimize production downtime
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records and complete work orders promptly
  • Assist with maintenance parts inventory and report low stock levels
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe maintenance shop and work area
  • Follow OSHA regulations, LOTO procedures, Arc Flash requirements, GMPs, MSS, and Standard Operating Procedures
  • Communicate equipment issues effectively with production, supervisors, and maintenance team members
  • Identify Critical Control Points (CCPs) and support food safety initiatives
