Job description

A private family on the Upper East Side is seeking an experienced, detail-oriented Full-Time Housekeeper to maintain their high-end luxury apartment. This is a long-term, year-round opportunity for a proactive professional who takes pride in creating a clean, organized, and well-managed home.
The family consists of a couple and their three school-aged children and resides in a 5k sq. ft., five-bedroom luxury apartment. They employ a full-time nanny; however, the ideal candidate must be child-friendly and willing to provide occasional support by supervising the children during the nanny's scheduled breaks or when additional assistance is needed.
The family spends part of the summer in the Hamptons. The Housekeeper should be flexible to travel on occasion to assist the family during portions of their stay. When the family is away, the Housekeeper will return to the Upper East Side residence to maintain the home, ensuring it remains clean, organized, and ready for the family's return.
Schedule
  • Monday through Friday
  • 9AM to 4/5PM
  • Full-time, year-round position
  • Occasional travel to the Hamptons during the summer

Responsibilities
  • Perform detailed daily housekeeping throughout a 5,000 sq. ft. luxury apartment with five bedrooms.
  • Maintain the home to exceptional cleanliness and presentation standards.
  • Complete scheduled deep cleaning of all rooms and living spaces.
  • Care for fine furnishings, luxury finishes, artwork, and delicate household items.
  • Make beds, change linens, and prepare guest rooms as needed.
  • Clean kitchens, bathrooms, bedrooms, living areas, and all common spaces.
  • Manage all family laundry, including washing, drying, folding, ironing, steaming, stain treatment, and wardrobe care.
  • Organize closets, pantries, cabinets, storage areas, and maintain household organization systems.
  • Monitor and replenish household cleaning products and supplies while maintaining inventory.
  • Work independently with minimal supervision while anticipating the family's household needs.
  • Communicate effectively and work collaboratively with the nanny and any other household staff.
  • Provide occasional supervision of the children during the nanny's scheduled breaks or when additional assistance is required.
  • Travel with the family on occasion to the Hamptons during the summer to provide household support.

Requirements
  • Minimum 3-5 years of private household experience.
  • Strong experience with detailed housekeeping, deep cleaning, laundry, wardrobe care, and household organization.
  • Child-friendly and comfortable providing occasional supervision for school-aged children.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently with minimal direction.
  • Highly organized with excellent attention to detail.
  • Trustworthy, discreet, dependable, and professional.
  • Flexible to travel to the Hamptons during the summer as needed.
  • Seeking a long-term position with one family.

Compensation & Benefits
  • $35.00-$45.00 per hour, depending on experience.
  • Additional benefits to be discussed
