Job description

As a temporary Video Editor at the National Inventors Hall of Fame, you will be part of an award-winning team of visual storytellers working to inspire the next generation of inventors. Your focus will be video editing, but you will draw on your experience in all aspects of video production, including field and studio production, ingesting footage, motion graphic design, music selection, sound design, and delivery of completed assets.
As a temporary Video Editor you must have a passion for video editing and motion graphic design. You will need to be an excellent communicator and organizer. Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines at once while ensuring all work meets or exceeds the expectations of project stakeholders.
This is a temporary position from May 2026 through November 2026.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Color Grading skills in DaVinci Resolve
  • Skilled with Adobe Creative Suite
  • Able to edit mini-documentary style in lengths from 3-minute to 15-minutes
  • Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work on multiple projects at once
  • Excellent file management and organization
  • Experience as a camera operator in the field is a plus.
  • Experience with Sony FX6 and Burano as well as Ursa Black Magic, a plus
  • Knowledge of Lighting Techniques amp; Lighting Equipment is a plus.
  • Audio design knowledge is a plus
  • Understanding of different file types, formats, codes, etc.
  • Ability to work both as part of a team and on their own
  • Understand and adhere to brand standards
  • Be flexible to changing needs and priorities
  • Knowledge of current trends in the production industry and comfortable in offering new creative solutions.

  • Ability to regularly work in the office and attend in-person meetings

One day you may be working on a high-end long format story about a world-changing Inductee, and the next it might be a one-minute social video. Communication and organization are key as you will be managing multiple projects and deadlines at once while ensuring all work meets or exceeds the expectations of project stakeholders. You will be part of a highly collaborative team that is always looking for ways to push the limits of how we can tell stories in a non-profit environment.
