Do you have a passion for working with individuals with disabilities and special needs? Consider being a Camp Counselor with Easterseals Florida Camp Challenge!! Our fully accessible camp provides adolescents and adults with disabilities and special needs a getaway filled with laughter, friendship and fun! Our camp counselors are a big part of making that happen.
We are currently seeking energetic, motivated and creative individuals to fill our camp counselor positions for our Summer Camp program. As a camp counselor, you assist campers in recreational activities such as sports, nature, the challenge course, arts and crafts, swimming, talent night, and making s'mores at campfires. Additionally, you assist with the personal care needs of some of our campers, such as assisting with meals, bathing, dressing, toileting, sensory needs, and helping manage difficult behaviors.

  • Sunday, June 7 through Saturday, June 13, 2026 (Summer Staff Training Week)
  • Sunday, June 14 through Saturday, June 220, 2026 (Summer Session 1)
  • Sunday, June 21 through Friday, July 3, 2026 (Summer Session 2)
  • Sunday, July 5 through Saturday, July 11, 2026 (Summer Session 3)
  • Sunday, July 12 through Saturday, July 18, 2026 (Summer Session 4)

Are you a psychology, social work, physical/speech/occupational therapy, nursing, or other related student looking to gain experience working with adolescents and adults with disabilities? Do you need internship hours, practicum hours or hands-on experience for your major? We can help with that!
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED), or one to three months related experience and/or training, and great communication skills
  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Compassion, energy, and creativity skills
  • Ability to assist in the physical care of our campers including lifting and transferring
  • CPR and First Aid are preferred, but training will be provided
  • Ability to work as a member of a team
  • Being ready and able to work one of the hardest, yet one of the most rewarding, jobs in your life
