DescriptionPersonal TrainerTHPRD Fitness is in search of a qualified
Personal Trainers who will be primarily responsible for planning and providing personal training services by developing exercise programs for patrons. In addition, the PT may be responsible for planning, instructing, and leading a variety of group fitness classes dependent upon their certifications and specializations.
Personal training sessions and/or group fitness classes may take place both inside and outdoors at one of our amazing recreation centers or any one of our beautiful parks. Our sessions and classes are attended by the community at large (all ages, abilities, backgrounds, and interests), so we need team members with the ability to support the needs of individuals as well as manage group dynamics. Trainers/Instructors must have the ability to demonstrate safe exercise techniques.
Instructors keep our patrons safe: - Physically - by gauging and adjusting programming to meet each patron's ability and skill level
- Mentally - by encouraging and building a positive community with our patrons
Minimum Qualifications:- Current certification required (ACE, ACSM, NASM, ISSA, etc.)
- Current CPR, First Aid, AED certification, or willing to obtain/renew upon hire
- 2+ years' experience training/instructing
- Experience working with a diverse population
Preferred Qualifications:- Bilingual: Spanish (pay incentive)
- Experience working with individuals whose first language is not English, or
- Experience in working with youth/teen athletes
- Experience working with older adults or special populations
Availability:- Mornings/Afternoons/Evenings/Weekends
Staff are typically scheduled 2 to 29 hours per week; between 6 AM - 9 PM throughout the week, including Saturdays and Sundays.
Part-time employees are scheduled variable hours and may work less than 1,508 hours per year or 125 hours per month.Pay Rate Range: $29.76-$33.56The full hourly range for this job classification is $29.76 to $33.56. Staff may be eligible for a merit increase at the end of September.

PART-TIME VARIABLE (PT): Part-time variable (PT) employees work less than 29 hours per week on average annually. However, they have the option of working additional hours during periods like summer or winter months. PT are eligible to receive benefits such as Paid Time Off (PTO), Holiday Pay, Compassionate Leave, and Inclement Weather Pay (if required to work).
SEASONAL: Seasonal employment is temporary and allows employees to work only during certain times of the year, up to 40 hours per week for a maximum duration of six (6) consecutive months. Seasonal employees are eligible to receive benefits such as Holiday Pay, Compassionate Leave, and Inclement Weather Pay (if required to work). Effective February 15, 2026, seasonal employees will also be eligible to accrue Paid Time Off (PTO)!

Leave- Paid Time Off - Paid leave type for part-time variable employees. Paid Time Off (PTO), will accrue at a rate of one (1) hour earned for every 30 hours worked. This is in addition to Sick leave and may be scheduled by employees for any reason! Effective February 15, 2026 the accrual rate for PTO will increase to one (1) hour earned for every 23 hours worked and will include seasonal employees!
- The ability to accrue paid sick leave at a rate of one (1) hour earned for every 30 hours worked
- Family Medical Leave eligibility for qualified family and medical related reasons
- Paid compassionate leave is available to all part-time employees to grieve the loss of an immediate family member, to make arrangements (if necessary), and to attend memorial services. Employees are eligible for paid compassionate leave for up to the hours scheduled in their average work week.
