The Position
The City of Maple Grove is seeking an energetic Teen Center Attendant who provides supervision to participants. In this role, you will be responsible for enforcing the teen center rules and engaging with all guests. The teen center attendant helps facilitate a safe and enjoyable recreational experience. Join our growing and diverse community and help make an impact! Summer hours include daytime, evening and weekend hours. School year hours include evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities
  • Promote teen activities and recreational programs.
  • Monitors and responds to behavior, safety and emergency situations.
  • Assists in program and room set-up and clean-up.
  • Performs general clean and light maintenance duties, particularly in the Teen Center and Lobby areas.
  • Maintains order and ensures patrons are adhering to the policies specific to the Teen Center and lobby areas.
  • Assist the coordinator with planned activities to maintain a safe and positive environment and assist in preparing materials and supplies as needed.
  • Familiarization of emergency and accident procedures.
  • Monitor skate plaza and maintain respective areas.
  • Processes disciplinary actions per policies and procedures with accurate and detailed information.
  • Assists supervisor in monitoring the gymnasium, general public areas and grounds.
  • Performs other related duties as requested by supervisor.

Qualifications
Need to have:
  • Must be at least 17 years of age.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds on a regular basis.
  • Ability to work evenings, and weekends.

Nice to have:
  • Customer Service experience
  • Experience in recreation, youth work or related field
  • Experience supervising youth or adults.
  • Experience working in a diverse environment
  • Volunteer, part-time experience accepted.
