Access Control Sr. Coordinator

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Print, encode, issue, distribute, renew, replace, and deactivate employee and contractor identification badges.
  • Review, verify, and process access authorization requests in accordance with company procedures.
  • Assign, modify, and remove access permissions within access control systems.
  • Maintain accurate records within access control systems, databases, and department documentation.
  • Support visitor management processes, including temporary badge administration and visitor access requests.
  • Conduct periodic audits of badge records, access permissions, and security system data to ensure compliance and accuracy.
  • Troubleshoot badge, credential, card reader, and access control issues and coordinate resolution as necessary.
  • Coordinate packaging, shipping, and distribution of badges and credentials to multiple locations.
  • Generate reports and provide support to Security, Human Resources, Facilities, Management, and other stakeholders regarding access rights and credential management.
  • Ensure compliance with company security policies, procedures, data protection requirements, and access control standards.

IMPORTANT EDUCATION

  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent required.

IMPORTANT EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience in security, access control, physical security operations, badge administration, visitor management, customer service, or an administrative support role preferred.
  • Experience working with access control systems required.
  • Experience in a corporate, commercial, industrial, or multi-site environment preferred.

ADDITIONAL ELIGIBILITY QUALIFICATIONS

  • Knowledge of security practices, access control administration, and applicable security regulations.
  • Experience with SiPass Integrated access control systems preferred.
  • Experience with visitor management systems preferred.
  • Familiarity with HID card technologies, badge printing equipment, and card encoding processes preferred.
  • Ability to maintain applicable licensing requirements, if required by jurisdiction.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Excel, Word, and Teams.
  • Ability to manage confidential and sensitive information with discretion.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and manage multiple priorities.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
  • Must exercise a high degree of integrity and demonstrate a strong code of ethics.
  • Must be able to speak, read, and write English.
  • Ability to maintain a valid driver's license, if required.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

This job operates in a professional office environment and security operations setting. The role routinely uses computers, access control systems, badge printing equipment, telephones, photocopiers, and other office and security-related equipment. The position may support multiple locations and requires regular interaction with employees, visitors, contractors, management, Human Resources, Facilities, and Security personnel.
