Senior Electrical Engineer - Life Sciences & Advanced Facilities
We are seeking a seasoned Senior Electrical Engineer to lead complex engineering projects for high-stakes industrial and pharmaceutical facilities. This role is designed for a technical expert who thrives in a multi-disciplinary environment and enjoys the balance of high-level design, on-site execution, and professional mentorship.
The Impact You Will Make
In this role, you will be accountable for the technical quality and scheduling of challenging engineering tasks. You will work within a highly interactive team to produce sophisticated designs for:
• Medium and Low Voltage Power Distribution
• Emergency Power Systems (UPS/Generators)
• Lighting, Grounding, and Fire Alarm Systems
• Security, PA, Telecommunications, and Heat Trace Systems
Key Responsibilities
• Design Leadership: Lead the production of electrical design packages for state-of-the-art pharmaceutical and manufacturing environments.
• On-Site Coordination: Provide technical assistance during facility startup and coordinate work activities with discipline leads and field staff.
• Mentorship: Utilize your technical expertise to mentor junior engineers and designers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and innovation.
• Project Management: Maintain strict adherence to project scope, budget, and delivery schedules.
Required Qualifications
• Education: Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) or Electrical Engineering Technology (BSEET).
• Experience: 10+ years of proven experience in the engineering design of building electrical systems.
• Codes & Standards: Solid working knowledge of NFPA 70 (NEC).
• Technical Tools: Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit.
• Collaboration: A demonstrated ability to work effectively within multi-disciplinary teams to meet project goals.
Preferred Skills & Attributes
• Licensure: Professional Engineering (PE) License (or a clear path to obtainment).
• Leadership: Previous experience leading or supervising electrical engineers and designers.
• Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills for client and internal coordination.
