Primary Functions and Job Details
The City of Lancaster is looking for a temporary seasonal worker to help keep the LEADs flowers pots and baskets beautiful and vibrant this summer and early fall season. The position has an expected end date of October 2026, weather-dependent.

Examples Of Essential Duties
  • Operates a City-provided utility vehicle on City streets for the purposes of accessing and watering hanging baskets, large planters, and other areas of curated landscaping in City parks and public properties.
  • Utilizes non-motorized hand tools (e.g. wrench, hand shovel, pruning shears, etc. in the performance of duties.
  • Performs light landscaping duties, e.g. hand weeding, pruning, deadheading, etc. in landscaped areas.
  • Reports any evidence of disease, rot, vandalism, theft, or other undesired conditions to the Greenscapes Maintenance Supervisor as may be required.

Typical Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
  • Experience with care of urban/suburban plant/fauna is preferred.

License
  • Possession of valid Commonwealth of Pennsylvania driver's license is required (out of state license acceptable).
