Responsibilities:

  • Design custom control hardware for data center cooling infrastructure that enables high performance heat transfer technology to function seamlessly within customer data center environments.
  • Design custom PCBs based upon mechanical, electrical, and software requirements and then utilize automated PCB layout tools to transition those designs into functional hardware with STL PCBA vendors. New PCBA's will include microcontrollers, SOCs, NICs, AC and DC voltage regulation, and resilient communication buses.
  • Design and/or implement PHYs and other communication hardware for Ethernet, CAN, I2C, Serial, BACnet, Modbus, etc.
  • Responsible for taking new designs production including all testing, bring up, and board spins necessary to develop a successful product.
  • Collaborate across teams for design reviews, cost reductions, and brainstorming around customer pain points.
  • Develop solutions to complex problems where little or no precedence exists - the use of ingenuity and creativity is regularly required

Requirements:

  • Proficiency with industry standard PCB design and simulation software packages
  • Strong understanding of electronic components, circuit theory, and signal integrity
  • Strong understanding of the electrical implementation of standard communication protocols (Ethernet, I2C, CAN, etc.)
  • Familiarity with designing custom PCBs utilizing common microcontrollers and SOCs such as ARM SOCs, CPLDs, PICs, ASICs, etc.

  • Experience developing IPC class 1 and class 2 boards
  • Demonstrated history of delivering quality products to market with understanding and respect for phases of the product development process
  • Ability to thrive in an ambiguous environment, manage multiple projects, collaborate with cross functional teams to solve complex challenges, and meet deadlines
  • Excellent project management skills and communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Preferred:
    • Advanced degrees or technical certifications
    • Familiarity with IT and data center power delivery systems
    • Familiarity with facility management software and control hardware
