Job description

HGA is seeking an Electrical Engineer (Levels I-III) to support construction and commissioning activities for large-scale energy infrastructure projects. This field-focused role provides electrical engineering support for power systems, equipment integration, testing, and execution during active construction phases.
The Electrical Engineer will work closely with construction crews, engineers, and inspectors to ensure electrical systems are installed, tested, and commissioned safely and in accordance with approved designs and standards.
Key Responsibilities
  • Provide on-site electrical engineering support during construction and commissioning activities
  • Support installation, testing, and verification of electrical systems and components
  • Assist with the execution of electrical test plans and field inspections
  • Support temporary and permanent power systems for construction and operational needs
  • Coordinate field activities related to electrically driven equipment and auxiliary systems
  • Review electrical drawings, specifications, and equipment documentation for field execution
  • Assist with resolving electrical field issues, discrepancies, and constructability concerns
  • Maintain accurate field documentation, reports, and test records
  • Promote safe work practices and compliance with electrical and site safety standards

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
  • Electrical Engineer I, II, or III level experience (entry-level through mid-level candidates considered)
  • Prior exposure to industrial, utility, power generation, or energy infrastructure projects
  • Understanding of electrical construction methods, testing, and commissioning activities
  • Ability to work extended hours in a construction field environment
  • Strong communication skills and ability to coordinate with multidisciplinary teams

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supporting electrically driven equipment, large motors, or power distribution systems
  • Familiarity with temporary construction power and commissioning support
  • Field experience in industrial or energy?related construction projects
