Primary Purpose:
Responsible for the planning, coordination, logistics, and execution of all internal and external events at the Rick Case Arena and NSU Soccer/Lacrosse Stadium

Essential Job Functions:
1. Serves as the primary liaison for clients, meeting planners, associations, and promoters, ensuring event requirements and expectations are met.
2. Leads pre- and post-event meetings, document client feedback, and distribute meeting notes to internal teams.
3. Develops event plans, orders, schedules, diagrams, contracts, proposals, and operational and safety documentation.
4. Addresses and resolves client and guest concerns professionally and promptly.
5. Directs all technical production for events, including audio, video, lighting, rigging, broadcasting, livestreaming, and presentation technology.
6. Assesses AV needs and coordinate the procurement, integration, maintenance, and repair of in-house and contracted equipment.
7. Manages technical infrastructure and maintain accurate inventories of production assets.
8. Coordinates maintenance, housekeeping, custodial, parking, catering, building operations, and event production requirements.
9. Ensures adequate staffing for event setup, execution, and breakdown.
10. Identifies operational challenges and implement effective solutions while maintaining strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
11. Recruits, hires, trains, schedules, and supervises temporary, student, contract, and event staff.
12. Directs vendors, maintenance personnel, public safety, police, paramedics, and other event personnel to ensure effective event execution and guest service.
13. Oversees timesheets and payroll documentation.
14. Partners with management and Risk Management to ensure compliance with applicable laws, codes, policies, and procedures.
15. Ensures events align with the university's mission, vision, values, and community interests.
16. Assists with billing, payment processing, budget oversight, and management of client budgets for event furnishings, AV, and production services.
17. Assists the Arena Director with booking policies, marketing initiatives, and overall arena operations.
18. Assumes the Arena Director's responsibilities and decision-making authority in their absence.
19. Plans, directs, and participates in the execution of entertainment, athletic, promotional, and other events.
20. Performs other duties as assigned or required.
Job Requirements: 1. Must be able to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities: 1. Excellent written and oral communication skills
2. Ability to work effectively with students, colleagues, support staff, vendors, and supervisory staff at all levels.
3. Ability to analyze and forecast staff projections for all arena events
Required Certifications/Licensures:
Required Education: Bachelor's Degree
Major (if required:
Required Experience: 1. Three (3) years' experience in event planning and management.
2. Two (2) years' supervisory/managerial experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
1. Bilingual English/Spanish.
2. Master's Degree in Hospitality/Tourism/Sports Management or similar field.
3. Knowledge and experience with event diagram software such as AutoCAD or Social Table.
