Job description

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking a Software Developer in Test (SDET) in Boston, MA.
Responsibilities:
* Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks for UI, API, integration, and end-to-end testing
* Build test automation solutions using Java and industry-standard testing tools
* Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to support continuous delivery
* Execute functional, regression, integration, and performance testing
* Collaborate with development, DevOps, and product teams to improve software quality
* Analyze defects, perform root cause analysis, and drive quality improvements
* Support cloud-based, containerized, and distributed testing environments
* Mentor junior engineers and promote test automation best practices
REQUIREMENTS:
* 10+ years of experience in software development and test automation
* Strong Java development skills with object-oriented design experience
* Hands-on experience with Selenium WebDriver, JUnit, TestNG, REST Assured, Maven or Gradle, and Spring Boot
* Experience with API testing tools and standards including REST, SOAP, Postman, and Swagger/OpenAPI
* Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps
* Experience with microservices, regulated industries, monitoring tools, security testing, and DevOps practices is a plus
* Familiarity with cloud platforms, Docker, Kubernetes, messaging tools, and performance testing
* Strong database testing skills with Oracle, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, and SQL validation
* Strong problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
