Job Title: Welder and Fabricator
Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Welder/Fabricator to join our growing second shift team. You will support the fabrication of custom overhead crane components, working alongside another welder and a shop hand, and picking up where the first shift leaves off. This role is ideal for individuals who take pride in their welds and enjoy seeing a job through from start to finish.
Responsibilities
- Perform MIG, flux core, and occasional sub arc welding on A36 steel.
- Fabricate and assemble components for overhead crane systems.
- Read and follow welding blueprints to complete assigned tasks.
- Coordinate with the first shift team for smooth project handoff.
- Work alongside another welder and shop hand to meet production goals.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Ensure all work meets quality standards and project specifications.
Essential Skills
- 3+ years of experience in MIG and flux core welding.
- Ability to work with A36 steel.
- Prior experience reading welding blueprints.
- Willingness to work 2nd shift (3:00 PM – 11:30 PM) with occasional overtime.
- Commitment to quality and efficiency over speed.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED.
- At least 3 years in an industrial environment or similar military experience.
- Skills and experience in welding and mechanical maintenance.
- Team approach to problem solving.
- Computer literacy in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
- Ability to interface with internal and external customers.

Work Environment
Our facility is an industrial metal-fabrication and overhead crane build/repair shop, specializing in structural crane projects including bridge cranes, runways, and hoists. The atmosphere is fast-paced and industrial, with a mix of shop work and field service at customer plants. You will be exposed to heights, rigging, and overhead loads, requiring the use of PPE. The work is physical, involving lifting, climbing, and working around machinery, with occasional overtime, travel, or off-hours service calls.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $30.00 - $32.00/hr.
