Travel Mammography Technologist

Location: Illinois โ€” Springfield, Champaign-Urbana, and Chicago Metro. Assignment Length: 13-week W2 travel contract. Schedule: Mondayโ€“Friday, full time day shift; no weekends or on-call. Start Date: Anticipated late June to early July 2026. Pay Range: $65/hour. Travel Support: Paid lodging, daily per diem for eligible travel days, and mileage reimbursement for approved site-to-site travel

About the Role: A temporary employee wellness program serving a professional workforce in Illinois is seeking an experienced Mammography Technologist for a 13-week mobile screening assignment. The ideal candidate is independent, patient-focused, and experienced in delivering high-quality mammography services in a mobile setting.

Responsibilities:

  • Support onsite screening workflow, including patient check-in, documentation, schedule flow, and daily operational communication.
  • Perform 3D screening mammograms.
  • Complete daily mammography quality control.
  • Review images for quality and positioning.
  • Transmit studies securely.
  • Maintain a clean and organized clinical workspace.
  • Provide a professional, patient-centered experience.

Requirements:

  • Active ARRT RT(R)(M) certification.
  • Active Illinois IEMA-OHS license by onboarding date.
  • Current BLS certification.
  • Minimum 3 years of screening mammography experience.
  • Documented 3D/tomosynthesis experience.
  • Ability to work independently in a mobile setting.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Comfortable supporting patient-facing coordination duties as needed.
  • Clean background check and current drug screen.

MQSA Documentation Required Candidates must provide documentation of:

  • At least 200 mammograms performed in the prior 24 months.
  • At least 15 mammography CEUs in the prior 36 months.
  • At least 8 hours of initial Digital Breast Tomosynthesis training.

Assignment Locations This role will support mobile screening sites across Illinois: Weeks 1โ€“7: Springfield, IL Weeks 8โ€“11: Springfield / Sangamon County Week 12: Champaign-Urbana Week 13: Chicago Metro / Cook County

Travel and Compensation Pay rate is $65/hour on a W2 basis. Lodging is provided for eligible travel weeks. Daily per diem is provided for eligible travel days. Mileage is reimbursed for approved site-to-site travel. Bonus potential may be available based on assignment terms. Benefits: This temporary contract role does not include traditional employee benefits.
