Job description

Velocity Rail Solutions is hiring CDL Class A drivers with Hazmat & Tanker endorsements to fuel locomotives at a dedicated rail facility. This is a stable, home daily, hands-on position with guaranteed hours, weekly pay, and year-round work.


PAY & SCHEDULE
  • $80,605+ annually
  • Home Daily
  • 12-hour shifts (guaranteed full shift pay)
  • Guaranteed 60-60-48 hour rotational schedule (year-round)
  • Overtime paid after 40 hours
  • Paid Weekly
  • Paid Training

Hiring for Night Shift from 6 PM to 6 AM. Must be available for nights, weekends, and holidays.


JOB OVERVIEW
  • Fuel locomotives using hoses and fueling equipment
  • 90โ€“95% of work is performed outside the truck
  • Work at a rail yard (no over-the-road driving)
  • Paid for all on-duty time, including breaks and wait time
  • Work in all weather conditions

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Safely fuel locomotives on an on-call dispatch basis
  • Respond promptly to dispatches during your shift
  • Complete fuel tickets and required documentation
  • Perform pre- and post-trip inspections
  • Follow all PPE and safety procedures
  • Assist with light maintenance and site upkeep

REQUIREMENTS
  • Class A CDL with Hazmat & Tanker endorsements
  • Ability to pass railroad required background check and drug screen
  • No DUI's or Careless or Reckless driving in 3 years
  • No Clearinghouse Violations
  • Reliable and able to work independently
  • Willing to work nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Basic computer skills

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Frequent climbing, bending, and kneeling
  • Walking on uneven surfaces
  • Climbing ladders and locomotive steps multiple times per shift

  • Lifting up to 50 lbs regularly
  • Pulling hoses
