Job Description
Responsible for the maintenance and safe operation of all pools, water attractions, and support areas throughout the waterpark. Ensures all water features comply with company standards and Florida State Codes to provide a clean, safe, and enjoyable experience for all guests.
As a Pool Operator, you will:
  • Monitors and tests water chemistry in all pools, splash pads, lazy rivers, and water attractions using a Taylor test kit or similar equipment; adjusts chemicals to maintain state-regulated standards
  • Cleans and services pool filtration systems and ensures proper circulation across all water attractions
  • Maintains and repairs waterpark bathroom fixtures and support area plumbing as needed
  • Performs daily cleaning of pools, pool decks, guest furniture, pump areas, water feature tiles, and splash zones
  • Repairs and replaces pumps, pump motors, heaters, chemical feed systems, ladders, steps, underwater lighting, decking, drains, and grates throughout the waterpark
  • Conducts deep cleaning of deck surfaces, Vac-Pac equipment zones, and behind-the-scenes support areas
  • Safely handles, delivers, and stores pool chemicals and supplies, ensuring proper labeling and storage compliance
  • Responds quickly to maintenance needs or safety concerns to minimize downtime or guest disruption
  • Leaves all work areas clean, organized, and safe after completing duties
  • Assists with maintaining accurate records of maintenance activities, chemical readings, and repairs
  • Other duties as assigned to support the smooth operation of the waterpark's aquatic systems

Qualifications
  • Must be at least 18 and have a valid driver's license to drive company golf carts
  • CPO (Certified Pool Operator) license required by the resort
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Westgate Resorts is a Smoke and Tobacco-Free workplace. Except where prohibited by law, applicants who smoke or use tobacco products will not be considered for positions at Westgate
  • Required to pass a background check, drug test, and prove eligibility to work in the United States
