Hard Rock Hotel San Diego puts you in the limelight with stylish accommodations, world-famous nightlife, and VIP guest experiences right in the heart of the Gaslamp Quarter. During Comic-Con International, our energy and volume are turned up to 11 - and our culinary program fuels the show, from large-scale banquets to rooftop parties and late-night room service for thousands of Comic-Con fans.
When you join our kitchen team for this one-of-a-kind week, you help craft unforgettable moments that keep the good vibes rolling long after the last encore.
Your Mission
As a Temporary Cook I, you'll be the behind-the-scenes rock star prepping, cooking, and plating dishes for our signature Comic-Con banquets, events, bars, and in-room dining. You'll work side-by-side with our all-star kitchen crew to deliver delicious, high-quality food with consistency, speed, and Hard Rock attitude - no matter the crowd or the clock.
What You'll Do
✅ Prep, cook, and present menu items following recipes, portion standards, and guest expectations - even when the pressure is high.
✅ Keep your station stocked, clean, and organized for fast, flawless execution - whether you're serving a 500-person banquet or a last-minute room service order.
✅ Support buffet and plated service for special events, ensuring timing and presentation are VIP-level.
✅ Assist with event setups and breakdowns, maintaining food quality from kitchen to plate.
✅ Uphold the highest standards for food safety, sanitation, and cleanliness - because details matter.
✅ Jump in wherever needed to help your teammates keep the flow smooth during the biggest week of the year.
You're a Great Fit If You...
Have 1+ year of professional cooking experience in hotels, catering, or high-volume events.
Know how to manage prep, cooking, and plating for multiple service styles (banquet, buffet, à la carte, room service).
Keep your cool and take pride in the details - especially when the heat is on.
Love being part of a tight-knit team that brings positive energy every shift.
Have flexible availability, including early mornings, late nights, weekends, and holidays - because the Hard Rock never sleeps, and neither does Comic-Con!

Tu Misión
Como Cook I Temporal, serás la estrella tras bambalinas preparando, cocinando y emplatando platos para nuestros icónicos banquetes de Comic-Con, eventos, bares y servicio a la habitación. Trabajarás codo a codo con nuestro equipo de cocina de rockstars para entregar comida deliciosa y de alta calidad con consistencia, velocidad y la actitud Hard Rock - sin importar la multitud o la hora.
Lo Que Harás
✅ Preparar, cocinar y presentar elementos del menú siguiendo recetas, estándares de porciones y expectativas del huésped - incluso bajo presión.
✅ Mantener tu estación abastecida, limpia y organizada para una ejecución rápida y sin fallas - ya sea que estés sirviendo un banquete para 500 personas o un pedido de servicio a la habitación de último minuto.
✅ Apoyar en servicio buffet y de platos servidos para eventos especiales, asegurando que la sincronización y presentación sean de nivel VIP.
✅ Ayudar con el montaje y desmontaje de eventos, manteniendo la calidad de los alimentos de la cocina al plato.
✅ Mantener los más altos estándares de seguridad alimentaria, saneamiento y limpieza - porque los detalles importan.
✅ Apoyar donde se necesite para ayudar a tu equipo a mantener el flujo suave durante la semana más grande del año.
Eres el Rockstar Perfecto Si...
Tienes más de 1 año de experiencia profesional como cocinero en hotelería, catering o eventos de alto volumen.
Sabes manejar la preparación, cocción y emplatado para múltiples estilos de servicio (banquetes, buffet, a la carta, servicio a la habitación).
Mantienes la calma y cuidas los detalles - especialmente cuando la presión aumenta.
Te encanta ser parte de un equipo unido que aporta energía positiva en cada turno.
