Department/Unit Overview:

This is a 24-bed Medical/Surgical Cardiac Unit where we care for patients on telemetry monitoring. The patients are here to determine the next step needed in their care - which may be a cardiac cath, transfer to the heart hospital for surgery on their heart, or having a diagnostic test such as a stress test or echocardiogram.

Education

  • Associates, Bachelors, Masters, or diploma in the Nursing Field required

Certification/Licensure

  • Virginia or Compact Multi-State License in good standing

  • Basic Life Support (BLS)

  • NIH stroke scale

Experience

  • Must have two or more years of current acute care hospital RN experience.
