Join our team as an RN Contractor IMC Step Down Float Pool, at INTEGRIS Health Baptist Medical Center, in Oklahoma City, OK at a rate of $70/hr.

Responsibilities
The Temporary Critical Need RN (Internal Traveler) assumes responsibility for the management and delivery of patient care utilizing the nursing process. As part of the resource pool this position may be required to float to various units as needed. May be required to participate in on call status. This position requires population specific competencies.
The Temporary Critical Need RN (Internal Traveler) management of the delivery and documentation of patient care includes, but is not limited to:
  • Assessment/re assessments.
  • Development of the plan of care.
  • Implementation of appropriate patient care interventions.
  • Evaluation of appropriate patient care interventions.
  • Supervises and coordinates the delegation and implementation of care to other licensed and non licensed personnel in the provision of care to patients as assigned.
  • Provides guidance and mentorship to non licensed personnel and students, as appropriate.
  • Performs job duties in a manner that will ensure a physical environment free of hazards to self and others.
  • Supervises and coordinates the delegation and implementation of patient care to licensed and non-licensed personnel for their assigned shift/area. This includes, but not limited to delegated assignments, monitoring of patient care, facilitating problem solving, and education/training of staff.

Qualifications
  • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of Oklahoma or current multistate license from a Nurse Licensure Compact (eNLC) member.
  • 3 years RN patient care experience in a hospital setting OR 1 year RN patient care experience in a hospital setting with ECMO/LVAD certification.
  • Current BLS certification upon hire, or completion within 30 days of hire.
  • Current ACLS, PALS, or NRP certification based on competency level or completion within 90 days of hire.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively in English.
  • This job requires the incumbents to operate personal vehicle (non INTEGRIS-owned) and therefore must have a current Drivers License as well as a driving record which is acceptable to our insurance carrier.
  • Additional qualifications are required for assignment in a specialty area such as Critical Care, Emergency Department, Labor and Delivery, Surgical Services, Behavioral Health, Rehab or other specialties. Experience, knowledge and competency validation will occur prior to placement in a Specialty area assignment.
  • Department specific competencies will be completed in the applicable department(s) during the orientation process.

Requirements:
  • Expected to work all shifts assigned by float pool leader; will float to different departments, including Emergency Department, and facilities as needed, including, mid-shift.
  • Expected to work a minimum of 36 hours per week, including four weekend shifts per month.
  • Must work all holidays during assignment period.
