Responsibilities:

Performall nursing duties in accordance with the scope of practice specific to thestate you are working in, while adhering to all facility policies andprocedures. 

Monitorpatient progress and identifies any changes in status, acting on those changesto ensure patient comfort and safety. 

Assistphysicians and all healthcare professionals caring for the patient, alwaysgiving a complete and thorough report on patient status at end ofshift/assignment. 

Performroutine nursing care to assigned patients while utilizing age specific anduniversal precaution practices at all times. 

Practicepatient, teaching/training for patients and families.

Followhospital policy when disposing of hazardous materials, labeling, and handlingof all materials. 

Activelydemonstrate a working knowledge of nursing, theory, techniques, principles,,and practice in order to holistically care for the patient. 

Implementspecific procedures and programs.

Coordinatework within the department, as well as with other departments.

Assistthe immediate supervisor with tasks to support department operations..

Self-directingwith the ability to work with little direct supervision.

Empathyfor the needs of the client.

Demonstrateeffective oral and written communication skills.

Ensuresconfidentiality and security of the clientas medical information.
