Job Description

Spectrum Healthcare Resources is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to work within our Ambultory Care Center at the Dumfries Health Center in Dumfries, VA. 

This is a full-time opportunity Monday - Friday and occasional Saturdays. We provide out-patient clinic services to enlisted and retired military personnel in association with Ft. Belvoir Community Hospital

Position Highlights:

  • Outpatient environment & updated facilities
  • Schedule - 40 hours weekly - Monday-Friday (8 hour shifts) between 7am-8pm. Bi-weekly Saturday schedule from 6am-2pm.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Patient assessment, triage, and monitoring
  • Execution of physicians' orders within the guidelines of standard nursing practice
  • Provide treatment and discharge instructions upon patient release
  • Documentation of patient care and observations
  • Patient education and emotional support

Position Requirements:

  • include bi-weekly Saturday Shifts:  6am to 2pm
  • Triage experience preferred
  • Must be a US citizen 
  • Current BLS for Healthcare Provider certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
  • RN License required; Current state nursing licenses or RN license from a participating state in the National Licensure Compact
  • At least 2-years' experience as a Primary Care RN
  • Nursing Diploma or Associates Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • An understanding of medical and clinic settings.
  • Shall be able to read, write, and speak English well enough to effectively communicate with patients and other staff members.
