RN Infection Control Nurse/Staff Development Coordinator| St. Joseph's Living Center
$4,000 Sign-On Bonus
Full-Time | 40hrs per week
Monday โ€“ Friday | 8:00AM โ€“ 4:00PM | On-Call every 4th weekend

Delivering Solutions that Matter:
  • Lead the facility's infection prevention and control program through surveillance, audits, data analysis, and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with infection control regulations by monitoring practices, investigating outbreaks, and implementing corrective actions.
  • Develop and deliver staff education, orientation, and ongoing clinical training to support regulatory compliance and quality care.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to identify training needs, promote best practices, and improve resident outcomes.
  • Maintain infection control records, monitor trends, and serve as a clinical resource for infection prevention and staff development.
Qualifications for Success:
  • Active, unencumbered CT or Compact State Registered Nurse (RN) licensure
  • 2+ years prior experience in infection prevention and control, staff development, and regulatory compliance with CMS, CDC, OSHA, and Connecticut Department of Public Health (DPH) standards preferred.
  • ICP certification preferred
  • Current CPR certifications, including BLS
  • RN Ability to communicate fluently in English โ€“ both verbally and written
