Job description

Encore at Parkside is seeking a compassionate and skilled PRN Registered Nurse (RN) to join our clinical team. The Registered Nurse (RN) provides direct nursing care to residents while ensuring compliance with all federal, state, and facility regulations. This role supports resident safety, clinical excellence, and teamwork across the care team. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Provide direct nursing care to residents in accordance with physician orders and care plans.

• Assess residents’ physical, psychosocial, and functional status and document appropriately.

• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately

• Monitor residents for changes in condition and promptly report to physician and nursing leadership.

• Supervise and support LPNs and CNAs on assigned unit or shift.

• Ensure compliance with infection control, safety, and regulatory standards.

• Participate in care planning, shift reports, and interdisciplinary meetings.

• Respond to emergencies and provide first aid or CPR as needed.

• Accurately complete medical records, MARs, TARs, and incident reports.

• Educate residents and families regarding care, treatments, and health conditions.

• Adhere to attendance, scheduling, and block schedule commitments as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Current, active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Delaware

• Strong clinical assessment and documentation skills

• Ability to supervise staff and work collaboratively with the healthcare team

• Excellent communication and organizational skills

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, and assist residents as needed

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs with or without accommodation
