Temporary Registered Nurse (RN) Opportunity

Responsibilities: Temporary Registered Nurse (RN) Opportunity – 12 hour shifts available. Full-time, 36-48 hours/week for a temporary 6-month period. Rate: $60.00 for our FT 6:30pm-7:00am with every other weekend and holiday

Roxbury Treatment Center, a subsidiary of Universal Health Services, Inc., has been a beacon of hope and healing for over 35 years, serving those struggling with behavioral health and substance use issues. Located in Shippensburg, PA., our 112-bed behavioral health facility offers acute psychiatric, detoxification, and rehabilitation services for adults as well as an adolescent inpatient psychiatric program for youth ages 13-17. We also have two substance use disorder outpatient offices in Carlisle and Chambersburg.

RN Role/Responsibilities: Registered Nurses will work on our Adolescent or Adult Mental Health Units and Substance Use Disorder Unit

The Registered Nurse provides professional nursing care on a designated unit in a manner consistent with the philosophy and objectives of Roxbury Treatment Center. The Registered Nurse prescribes, coordinates and delegates nursing care. The Registered Nurse completes nursing assessments and documents care and progress of the patient each shift. The Registered Nurse facilitates medication administration activities in accordance with safe medication practices, including patient education. The Registered Nurse responds to all crisis/emergency events to direct staff and ensure patient safety. Attends Treatment Team to aid in the development of patient care plans. Oversees and directs the mental health technicians in patient care activities. The Registered Nurse is accountable for assigned nursing care activities on a shift basis and is responsible for promoting and enhancing professional nursing practice on the unit under the direction of the Nurse Manager or DON. The Registered Nurse may also assume Charge Nurse Responsibilities as required.

Qualifications: Registered Nurse (RN) Job Requirements: Current license to practice nursing in Pennsylvania (or eligible to receive or renew). Current CPR or BLS certification.
