Job description

POSITION PURPOSE:                                                                                                                          

To provide clinical support services for the Clinic Physician/Nurse Practitioner and performs effective patient care utilizing the nursing process.

SPECIFICATIONS (Education, Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Licensure, Certification, Registration):           

RN Requirements:

  • Graduate of an approved school of nursing           
  • Current licensure as registered nurse in Missouri or eligible required
  • 2 years of acute care experience preferred
  • Maintains basic life support
  • ACLS required within 6 months of date of hire for Cardiology Services           
  • Successful implementation of nursing knowledge/process
  • Knowledge and ability to complete laboratory duties
  • Demonstrates skill in area of specialty

LPN Requirements

  •    Graduate of Approved School of Practical Nursing
  •    Current licensure as Licensed Practice Nurse (IV Certified) in Missouri or ability to obtain required (Graduate practical nurses must obtain licensure within 3 months of graduation)
  •    Maintains Basic Life Support Validation
  •    Successful implementation of nursing knowledge/skills
  •    Demonstrates skill in area of specialty

CMA/RMA Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required
  • Graduate of a Medical Assistant program required, associates preferred, diploma will be considered
  • Certified or Registered Medical Assistant required
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
  • Ability to work and communicate effectively with others
  • Ability to prioritize patient needs and tasks
  • Must maintain current CPR certification
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to lift and assist patients
  • Ability to assess patient, perform vital signs, and complete appropriate, required documentation
