Job description

Position: Warehouse Associate
Department: Warehouse
Reporting Structure: Reports to Warehouse Manager/Warehouse Supervisor
Reporting to this position: No direct reports
BASIC FUNCTION
Responsible for the daily movement of materials, finished goods inventory and staging of shipment of completed orders.
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Compliance with cGMP (current Manufacturing Practices) and all Company SOP's (Standard Operating Procedures).
  • Manually or mechanically load and unload materials from pallets, skids, platforms, lifting devices or other transport vehicles.
  • Receive, store, and move incoming and outgoing materials from the warehouse adhering to FIFO inventory system (First in/First Out).
  • Supply Production Floor and/or Manufacturing department with required components, raw materials, and bulk inventory per required production schedule.
  • Ensure that all inventory is properly tagged and labeled using LPN system as required (License Plate Numbering).
  • Maintain and verify all documentation relating to warehouse material movements. Use of RF scanner required.
  • Clean and maintain supplies, tools, equipment, and storage areas to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
  • Verify inventory computations by comparing them to physical counts of stock and investigate and report discrepancies to management.
  • On occasion employees may be assigned to drive the inter-building shuttle truck.
  • Ensure that all warehouse areas are kept clean and organized and all inventory ChemAid and customer owned are properly labeled.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

SKILLS & ABILITIES
  • Basic mathematical skills required, including knowledge of metric conversions.
  • Knowledge of use of radio frequency devices (RF scanners).
  • Basic knowledge of cycle counting methods.
  • Basic Computer proficiency.
  • Must communicate effectively using Basic English communication and written skills.
  • Time Management: the ability to organize and manage multiple priorities.
  • Individuals must be able to operate and train warehouse employees in equipment such as but not limited to, pallets jacks, forklifts, drum movement equipment.
  • Valid Driver's License.
  • Strong team player

The employee may occasionally be required to lift and/ or manually move up to 70lbs.

  • Work environment: While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be exposed to weather conditions prevalent at the time (heat and cold associated with dock doors being open). The noise level in the work environment is usually minimal.
