SummaryThe Retail Designer creates functional, safe, and visually engaging retail environments. This role combines creative design and technical expertise to develop store concepts, select finishes and furnishings, and ensure projects align with client goals from concept through completion. The Retail Designer partners with clients, internal teams, and construction partners to deliver high-quality retail spaces.
Job Duties- Collaborate with clients to understand project objectives, requirements, and brand standards.
- Partner with design and cross-functional teams throughout the project lifecycle.
- Create concept boards, mood boards, renderings, and design presentations.
- Select and specify materials, furnishings, fixtures, lighting, and décor.
- Prepare project documentation, drawings, and design specifications.
- Coordinate with construction teams and external consultants to maintain design intent.
- Review and redline renderings and CAD drawing sets.
- Stay current on industry trends, materials, and design technologies.
- Mentor junior designers and provide guidance on design standards and processes.
- Delegate and oversee work assigned to support designers.
- Assist with final project deliverables and document distribution.
Required Skills- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
- Strong design sensibility with experience creating appealing interior and exterior environments.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Knowledge of design documentation, production, and detailing.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and/or CorelDRAW Graphics Suite.
- Experience with SketchUp.
Education & Experience- Bachelor's degree in Interior Design or Architecture from a CIDA/FIDER-accredited program.
- 3 to 5 years of experience in commercial interior design or architecture.
- Retail, restaurant, or hospitality design experience preferred.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $33.00 - $40.00/hr.
